My favorite part of meeting any newly engaged couple is hearing how they first met. Kristi was working as a nurse in the hospital and Justin was a paramedic for Bell Ambulance. Her friends were giving her a hard time about dating and asked what she was looking for in a guy. Right as they spoke, Justin walked in with a patient. Kristi said, "THAT, ladies, is what I'm looking for!" They dared her to get his number and she agreed, thinking he wouldn't return that day. (The same paramedic rarely visits the hospital twice in one day.) Good thing for Kristi, he showed up an hour later with another patient. She gave him her number on a sticky note and they hit it off immediately. He STILL carries that little note in his wallet to this day.

Their wedding day was a wet one, but they didn't let it put a damper on the celebration. Lucky for us, the rain stopped right as we started their portraits. It could not have been more perfect. And every time we took a photo at The Club at Strawberry Creek, Kristi would say, "Oh I love that!! It's going to be SO GOOD!!". Her enthusiasm and excitement was seriously contagious. She was such a joy to be around.

Kristi said her favorite part of the day was seeing Justin and their friends and family for the first time as she walked down the aisle. She said those expressions are forever etched in her memory. But just before that, while we were tucked in the back room getting ready, she took a few deep breaths and cried as her veil was placed on her head. And then she turned to her bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law, and thanked them for being by her side. She cried with such a genuine heart, expressing her love for all of them. It was intimate and special and something I won't ever forget.

I couldn't be happier for Kristi and Justin and I was blessed to capture their big day!
