I was eagerly anticipating Jenna and Ryan's big day since the minute they asked me to be their photographer. Their engagement shoot was magical and they're just so great together. Leading up to the big day, we had met a few times to discuss wedding planning and the timeline of events. They're just the kind of couple you'd want to go on a road trip with. They have the best humor and you can tell they genuinely have fun together. I asked them what they love most about each other and Jenna said she loves the way he makes her laugh, how he respects everyone, and that he loves to dance! And Ryan said he loves that Jenna finds humor in the small things and that she knows the answers to all of his questions (in a good way!).

They made everything about their wedding completely their own. They decided to throw tradition out the window and I love when couples do that! Jenna and Ryan wanted their day to be genuine and true to them, something that was very important to them while they were planning. They decided not to have a wedding party and made sure to build in lots of alone time together before the ceremony. When I met them at their hotel room that morning, they had just finished breakfast together. That was after their early morning dance party. (How cute are they?!) Before hair and makeup, they kissed each other goodbye and Ryan disappeared to another room to get ready.

Jenna kept her dress a surprise for their first look, and boy, was it sweet. Ryan couldn't stop staring at her and she was beaming! They said doing a 'first look' helped them set a slower pace for the day, reminding them to stop periodically and take everything in. The anticipation of a first look is always exciting for me too. I get giddy and nervous just like they do! And I definitely tear up... every single time.

This sweet couple ended the night on the dance floor with their friends and family surrounding them. That dance floor was packed for every single song! It's exactly what Jenna and Ryan had hoped for and it was the best ending to the most beautiful wedding day.
